Gloria and Emilio Estefan, along with Quincy Jones, have tapped an A-list line up of Latin stars to sing a Spanish version of "We Are the World (Somos El Mundo)." The recording will take place today(2/19) in Miami and will feature Carlos Santana, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas, David Archuleta, Jon Secada, Paulina Rubio, Pitbull, Aventura, Andy Garcia, Wisin & Yandel and many more. All proceeds from the song will go to benefit Haitian earthquake victims. Mixmatters will post up the song and video once its released. Keep checking back for updates.

KKUU U92 in Palm Springs CA celebrated their Birthday- Bash #2 this weekend April 11th at the Indio Fairgrounds. The place was packed and it was a great day for an outdoor concert, some of the performers at the event were The Majors, Lil Rob, MC Magic, Brown Boy,Anthony Sheehan, Paula DeAnda, Baby Bash, Frankie J, Fingazz , Feli Fell, Keak Tha Sneak and San Quin, New Boyz, Pleasure P, Slim, Mims, Dream, Warren G Bow Bow amongst others. The big surprise was when Down AKA Kilo took the stage and thanked the audience for their prayers and did a few bars of Lean Like a Cholo, his huge hit from last year. For those of you that are not aware Down had an car accident a few weeks ago in Framington New Mexico where he was performing at the Lock Down Tour. He was in a coma for a couple of days and it was very serious. He was scheduled to perform at U92 Birthday Bash but had to cancel, so when he took the stage and was introduced the crowd went wild.....
